biking and cycling Fixing to Ride

Adults and mature teens will learn how to repair a flat tire--the most common mechanical breakdown. This knowledge will save you time, money, and the headache of being stranded with a flat tire bike. Students will learn how to remove the wheel from a bike, dismount the tire and tube, inspect the tire for damage, and install a new tube. Students will also learn how to patch a tube and handle a large cut in a tire so they can ride home.

Registration required. Please RSVP.

Funding for Fixing to Ride has been provided by the Citizen's Committee for New York City, the Manhattan Solid Waste Advisory Group and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer.
