Paerdegat Library's own multi-talented artist Karl Henry Alexandre will share basic cartoon drawing techniques in this series of classes designed for beginners and intermediate level folks.  Participants will explore ways to tell their own stories of childhood via sketches and drawings.  Limited supplies are available for local participants who can pick up from these branch libraries (Paerdegat, Mapleton, Kensington, Sunset Park, and McKinley Park).  Email yyau@bklynlibrary.org to reserve.  Registered folks will receive a Zoom Invite in the morning of each session.

Supplies:

1. Mechanical Pencil or Regular HB Pencil 

2. Eraser, Pencil Sharpener

3. Sketchbook or Sheet of Papers

4. Fine Black Markers, Black Pens, or Charcoal Pencils

5. Color Pencils

Lesson 3, June 23, 2021: Cartoon Characters and Feet

Lesson 4, June 30, 2021: Cars and Various Tools

Lesson 5, July 7, 2021:  Landscape 

Lesson 6, July 14, 2021: Cartoon Lettering and Faces

Lesson 7, July 21, 2021: Characters Holding Objects

Lesson 8, July 28, 2021: Turning a Photo into Cartoon using Previous Knowledge

1:30 PM        Practice and learning Session
