Cartoonist and educator Cathy G. Johnson leads this workshop about bringing comics into the classroom! Come learn about why comic books are an important and useful art form to include in education, and learn some hands-on lesson plans to share with the kids in your life. Materials (pens, pencils, paper, etc.) will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. All attendees will receive a free copy of the Cool Work x Interesting People zine.

Cathy G. Johnson holds a masters degree in Teaching + Learning in Art + Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, is an experienced PreK-12 educator, and has a new middle-grade graphic novel out from First Second titled The Breakaways. Learn more on her website ComicArtEd.com!
