Get an insider's look at BPL's archives during our 2019 Open House!
The Brooklyn Collection, Brooklyn Public Library's only archives and special collections, is a unique division open to the public for researching the social and cultural history of Brooklyn from pre-colonial times to the present. Come by during our open house to view a selection of rare and exciting resources from our holdings, including historic photographs, maps, newspapers, ephemera and more. Tour our facilities, including the Brooklyn Daily Eagle's “morgue”, and other behind the scenes areas.
Tours will be led by our Brooklyn Connections educators, who will share a plethora of FREE resources for your classroom as well as information on how the archives supports educators and students year-round. This event is not eligible for CTLE credits.
