Do you want to help document how you and your family are making Greenpoint greener? Bring us mementos of your stewardship! Join BPL's Greenpoint History Scanning Project and the Greenpoint Eco-Schools for Back to School: A Sustainability Workshop, Garden Scavenger Hunt & Community Scanning Event. Open to all ages, families can enjoy a soil-cycle workshop, a garden scavenger hunt, a tree ID walk by Greenpoint Tree Corps, and bring personal items to scan. Light refreshments will be served.
Brooklyn Public Library’s Greenpoint Oral History and Community Scanning Project is dedicated to documenting and preserving the environmental history of Greenpoint, and you can help by contributing an item to the project. We will scan items such as documents, photographs, ephemera and mementos. We’re also happy to have digital items such as JPGs, DOCs and PDFs.
By contributing to this project you and your family will help define how Greenpoint’s environmental history will be remembered.
