all ages research Virtual Programming

Join us for session two on reading academic research articles! We will use the Brooklyn Public Library's public databases, which are all free to use with an active library membership account.
This program is open to students of all ages. While this is session two of this program, session one is not required for this session, and we encourage everyone who wants to learn how to analyze academic articles to join this class.

In this, our second session, we will cover the skills required to analyze an academic article. These articles tend to look difficult at first glance, due to their complex organization and vocabulary. To overcome this, we will talk about the organization of different types of academic articles, and how to read them accordingly. We will also cover what to do when there is lexicon that is difficult to understand in the article.

We will be using Zoom to host this program. You will need either a computer with a microphone and a webcam or a phone for this event.  We will be sending the login information to participants via email.

Registration is required.
