ArinMaya: Slumber in Sound: A Restful Sound Bath
ArinMaya is an inspirational singer, songwriter, sound healer, and activist who has sung and studied with Ysaye Barnwell of Sweet Honey in the Rock and Bobby McFerrin. A dedicated practitioner and student of sound healing for over 10 years, Arin is a graduate of Howard University, Stanford University (via Domestic Exchange). She is certified through New York Open Center’s 190-hour Integrative Sound and Music Practitioner Training Program, and is a founding member and Associate Musical Director with the Resistance Revival Chorus. At the height of COVID-19 she created Meditation Moments––free community sound healing offerings to help people find peace and center themselves. She facilitates sound healing sessions and offers sound baths to individuals and organizations for retreats, meditations and meetings, and has worked with clients such as NJCASA, Columbia Teachers’ College, DSM & Firmenich, Landmark High School, and alongside Tricia Hersey of the Nap Ministry at NYU.
