Join us for a day in the Brooklyn Collection as we provide educators with an in-depth and practical introduction to archival research. Through a mix of discovery, experiential, and cooperative learning, participants will learn how to navigate an archive, how to find and integrate archival sources (both primary and secondary) into every step of the research process, and how to work through research challenges including how to conduct effective internet research, develop a research question, and properly cite sources. They will also take away strategies and materials for adapting these lessons for classroom use.
