  • Educators can create playlists of activities tailored to their lessons and invite students to a "class" with a class code and track their students' progress.
  • Students can create an avatar and "level up" the more they play.

Brooklyn Connections Educator Open House
Wednesday, October 14, 4pm - 6pm
Tour our facilities, including the Brooklyn Daily Eagle “morgue” and other restricted areas. View hundreds of primary sources that are available to you and your students. Learn about class visits and the Brooklyn Connections program. Take home a free copy of our teacher resource, A Teacher’s Guide: Projects at the Brooklyn Collection. Green-Wood Cemetery
Tuesday, November 3, 9am-3pm
Meet some of Green-Wood Cemetery’s most famous residents and examine their final resting places with Manager of Education & Outreach, Steve Estroff. The morning session will take place at Green-Wood Cemetery. A historic trolley will shuttle participants to the Brooklyn Collection, where the Brooklyn Connections team will facilitate a discussion on how to use primary sources to investigate the life and death of some of Brooklyn’s finest (and most infamous) people! Brooklyn's Navy Yard
Tuesday, December 8, 9am-2.30pm
In conjunction with Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Building 92 and the Brooklyn Historical Society, participants will engage with primary resources from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and its part in America’s wars.  Tour the Navy Yard, learn how Brooklyn played an integral role in World War II and learn new techniques for making this unique history come alive in your classroom. This event takes place at Building 92, 63 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205. Register HERE to reserve your spot!
