BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY HOSTS Youth Leadership Workshop
EVENT: Over twenty local teens participating in Brooklyn Public Library’s Teen Edge program will gather at Stone Avenue Library to partake in a motivational workshop designed to build confidence and a sense of empowerment among teens. Created to prepare today's teens to be future leaders, this inspirational seminar will cover several topics, including public speaking, setting goals, time management and leadership skills. The workshop will be conducted by motivational speaker Marquesa Pettway, who energizes clients to execute their goals through coaching and training classes. Teen Edge is supported by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office of Justice Programs, U. S. Department of Justice.
