Get Culturesmart at the New Dr. S. Stevan Dweck Center for Contemporary Culture!

We invite the entire community to check out Brooklyn Public Library’s (BPL) latest addition, the Dr. S. Stevan Dweck Center for Contemporary Culture at Grand Army Plaza.

Located beneath Central Library’s refurbished Plaza, the Dr. S. Stevan Dweck Center for Contemporary Culture features an auditorium with nearly 200 seats, an exhibition area and adjacent meeting rooms. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it will serve as multi-purpose performance and educational space. It will host a rich array of cultural and educational programs, including concerts, author talks, films, children’s programs and special events.

Circus to GO! Big Apple Circus
Clap, laugh and sing-a-long with members of the Big Apple Circus! The clown comedy team of Lulu and The Professor entertain their audience with music, magic and comedy.

Mike Wallace, coauthor of the Pulitzer-prize winning book Gotham: A History of New York City to 1898, discusses the past and future of the borough. This program is made possible by The Martin L. and Rona Schneider Endowment for Programs in the Humanities.
