Our free program, offered in partnership with New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, Queens Public Library, and Workforce1 Career Centers, provides entrepreneurs the necessary tools to refine your business idea.

    Are you looking to improve your skills to make yourself more attractive to employers in your job search? Come to find out more about Brooklyn Public Library's online learning platforms, which allow you to take skill-building classes in business skills, computers and technology, and more -- for free.

    You'll be introduced to the Metrix Learning System, a site that lets you rate your skills and choose courses to build your skills in the job market, and Lynda.com, a site with educational videos focused on technology and business skills.

    Attendance at an information session is required to gain a license to use the Metrix Learning System. Basic Internet skills and a BPL library card are required for all learning platforms. This is a Business & Career Library program.
