Join Music From China and Brooklyn Central Library in welcoming Year of the Horse. Musical celebrations of man and nature performed by musicians playing the erhu, pipa, zheng and ruan ring out the energy and festive spirit of the Lunar New Year.

Chinese New Year Celebration: Music from China Performs Xiang Yue: Songs of Folk Life

Ancient and modern, East and West converge in music performed on Chinese and Western instruments for this celebrate the Lunar New Year. Wang Guowei leads a quartet of erhu, pipa, flute and piano, in an eclectic program of arrangements based on Chinese folk tunes, songs of legendary Hong Kong pop singer Teresa Teng, and Mr. Wang's original compositions.
