Fashion Illustration: A Contemporary Look by Richard Haines
Central Library, Grand Lobby
I am influenced by what I see around me, moments captured either on the street or in my studio. I started my blog as a love letter to the vibrancy, diversity and vitality of New York City. There is beauty all around us: on the train, the street, a restaurant, a party. My goal is to capture a moment of beauty as it passes by.
Richard Haines earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. He’s also worked as a designer for Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, and Bill Blass, and currently blogs at What I Saw Today. He’s had previous showings in New York at Envoy Enterprises, Norte Maar Gallery, and Splatterpool Gallery.
