Brooklyn, Check Us Out!
Every year, more than a million people visit Brooklyn Public Library, borrowing books, attending movie screenings, and learning new skills.
We asked a few of our patrons and staff to share a favorite pick from our collection, and we want you to join us. Show us your own favorite (or current favorite!) book on Twitter or Instagram, hashtag it #checkoutBKLYN, and see it live online!

- Read! Write! Create!
Read! Write! Create!, or RWC, is a literacy program for five to nine-year-olds attending after-school programs at NYCHA housing developments. We've partnered with the Comic Book Project to create a specially designed six-session curriculum just for RWC.
