Paris' lower depths as a sewer-worker, Chico (Charles Farrell), saves Diane (Janet Gaynor) from being beaten by her sister. To protect and help her heal, Chico takes Diane up to his 7th floor attic-apartment where, away from the world, love grows and empowers them, until World War I separates them, in a romantic-drama about love as a spiritual and transformative force. Directed by Frank Borzage.
(1927) 118 Minutes USA

<a
