Hammerstep + DEORO
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the threat of severe weather, this event has moved from the Plaza to the Dweck Center.

Cutting edge choreography from Hammerstep meets traditional music and innovative live beats with hip hop flare from DEORO to create a unique presentation integrating traditional Irish step, tap, and hip hop. The performance includes a Q&A with the artists. Grammy-nominated DEORO, led by Dave Eggar (cello) with Chuck Palmer (percussion), is known internationally for its remarkable collaborations with artists from Dr. Ralph Stanley and Frank Ocean to the Talaandig tribe of Mindanao in the Philippines. Garrett Coleman and Jason Oremus are the founders and artistic directors of innovative dance group, Hammerstep. Garrett is a two-time world champion of Irish step dance and Jason has won five consecutive state and national solo Irish dancing titles. Both have toured professionally with Riverdance.
