Dear America is a cultural initiative founded in 2017 that provides a platform for artists of all genres to express their views of America.

Dear America examines America and Isolation as part of the Democracy Lab. Artists will consider isolation from many angles, from solitary confinement to immigration to music that originates from a secluded island to confluences between personal and political losses. Participants include the writer Rachel Aviv, poet/activist Ian Manuel, Cuban jazz pianist Elio Villafranca, filmmaker Jennie Livingston, and teenage activist Mosab Hamid.
