Digital Collections

Brooklyn's historic newspaper, photographs, manuscripts, trade cards, sheet music and neighborhood histories...some of Brooklyn Public Library's most distinctive collections are available online.

The Brooklyn Collection, which houses most of these original collections, offers browsing and research services in a beautiful reading room at the Central Library.

Digitized City Directories, 1856 - 1967

Thanks to support from the Metropolitan New York Library Council, we've been able to digitize more than 100 years of Brooklyn directories, white pages, and yellow pages with the Internet Archive.
